Looking for a purposeful, fun half term activity for your child?
This one-off Jump Start Maths half term session is designed for children aged 2–5 and delivered by teachers through a carefully planned mix of teacher-led activities and free-flow play, all themed around early maths.
It’s active, engaging and thoughtfully structured to support a wide range of early years skills.

What happens in a Jump Start Maths class?
Each Jump Start Maths class follows a clear structure while allowing children the freedom to explore and engage in ways that suit them.
During this half term session, children will take part in:
Teacher-led maths activities
Games and movement to support learning
Free-flow play including crafts, playdough and construction
Activities carefully themed around early maths concepts
Parents stay with their child and join in, supporting learning alongside them.
What skills does this support?
Although the sessions are playful and engaging, everything is carefully planned to support early development.
Children build skills including:
Early number sense
Problem-solving and reasoning
Language and communication
Fine motor skills (through playdough, crafts and construction)
Gross motor skills (through movement and active games)
Confidence and independence
These are key foundations for later learning, including school readiness, developed naturally through play.
