Do you HATE maths?

HATE is a strong word, but we get it! Did you know 35% of adults in the UK avoid maths and 59% of teachers say maths anxiety is the biggest obstacle to learning? 😟

We don’t want that for our little ones, so here are 3 simple ways to help them avoid the maths dread! ⬇️

🧑‍🎓 Be a role model – Even if you don’t love maths, pretend you do! 🏆 A positive attitude is contagious, so try ‘fake it till you make it!’

🔢 Notice maths in everyday life – You can’t go a day without encountering maths! 🏡 Ask questions like “How many oranges are in the bowl?” or “What shape is this cereal box?” to make maths feel natural.

🛝 Make time for play – Free play is full of maths learning! 🏗️ Play kitchens, construction kits, and playdough all introduce measuring, counting, and problem-solving without feeling like “work.”
